What is Adblock Plus?

Adblock Plus (ABP) is a community-driven open source project, it's an extension for Firefox, Thunderbird, and several other applications with the primary goal of removing advertisements. Adblock blocks HTTP requests according to their source address and can block IFrames, scripts, and Flash. It also uses automatically-generated user stylesheets to hide elements such as text ads on a page as they load instead of blocking them, known as element hiding. It has since become the most popular extension for Firefox, with around 13 million daily users. PC World chose Adblock Plus as one of the 100 best products of 2007.

I love Adblock Plus! I'm using it for my google chrome and it works great! Until they come out with a version for iOS i'll use the method explained at iosadblock.webs.com.
